Internet 

Its origins date back to 1969, when it established the first connection of computers, known as ARPANET, between three universities in California and one in Utah, United States. Internet has a profound impact on the world of work, leisure and knowledge worldwide. Thanks to the web, millions of people have easy and immediate access to a vast and diverse amount of online information.

The computer 

Today think of a world without computers we find it totally sucks. When using a calculator, a cash register, a security system or almost any type of electronic device, you are using the computer technology. The computer is one more revolutionary models iventos twentieth century, which can be attributed not only one creator, but it was John Atanassoff who invented the prototype of the modern computer.

The Aircrafts

The invention of aircraft and between them, mainly the aircraft, shortened the distances of the planet. Somehow even arguably narrowed our planet and now a matter of hours one can travel huge distances than in the past would take days or even months. As we know, we owe much to the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright, who never stopped dreaming of one day being able to fly. That dream became reality in 1903.

Antibiotics

In 1928 the Scot Sir Alexander Fleming discovered the antibiotic from the penicillin capabilities present in the fungus Penicillium chrysogenum and until then, the minimum medical error, infection or any injury, could become a huge and fatal problem. His discovery brought major advances in medicine, health and quality of life of people. From then developed all kinds of antibiotics, it was possible to treat all kinds of infections and the mortality rate decreased greatly.

The Television 

The first TV commercial was created on January 26, 1926 by John Logie Baird. It is one of the most important and used appliances in everyday life, is used by a number of people signficativa pra meet communication and entertainment needs.

Why  these five?

All previous devices are the five most significant advances or inventions of the twentieth century, but if the most significant and has more relevance to this time are the Internet combined with the computer, since they are two of the most used element of I today, it is very difficult to think as they would live in today's world with the absence of the computer, but not only there would be equal if we did not have the computer and internet, so it affects both the daily life I have chosen the internet and the computer as the two most significant advances of the twentieth century. But progress was made also such as airplanes and aircraft also count as a breakthrough for humanity, because thanks to the invention of aircraft and between them, mainly the aircraft shortened the distances of the planet. Somehow even arguably narrowed our planet and now a matter of hours one can travel huge distances than in the past would take days or even months. Besides these we also have great advances in the areas of health, such as antibiotics, which improved the quality of life and a large percentage decreased mortality, finally we have the TV in the beginning was one of the best innovations, but still today we can also watch television through computers so its importance has declined somewhat.
